Waste King runs a faster 2,800 RPM motor that clears most food quickly but is less forgiving of bones and fruit pits than InSinkErator. A disposal that hums but will not spin is usually jammed, not dead, so try the hex key in the bottom of the unit before you replace it.

What size garbage disposal do most Tampa homes need?
