Your $279 service call covers these five things:

Why $279 and not a free estimate?
Free estimates are how other companies get in your door, then pressure-sell expensive repairs. We charge for the diagnostic because it’s real work (30-60 min of expert time), and we apply it to the repair cost if you approve. You pay once, total.
Is the $279 applied to the repair?
Yes. If you approve any repair over $279, the diagnostic fee is folded into the total. You don’t pay $279 + repair. You pay the repair price.
What if I don't want the repair?
You pay nothing — diagnosis and estimates are always free at Home Therapist. You get a written report of what’s wrong and what parts are needed if you want a second opinion.
Do you charge for estimates on installs?
No. AC installation, water heater replacement, and repiping estimates are free in-home. The $279 only applies to diagnostic/repair service calls.
Are emergency calls more expensive?
No. Same $279 minimum whether you call at 3 PM Tuesday or 3 AM Saturday. We don’t do after-hours gouging.
What about weekend or holiday service?
Same $279. We dispatch live 24/7 including Christmas, Thanksgiving, and 4th of July.
Do I pay upfront or after the work?
After. We diagnose, quote, you approve, we do the work, you pay when we’re done. All major cards + financing available.
What if the tech needs to come back?
If it’s the same issue within 30 days, no additional service call charge. If it’s a different issue, standard $279 applies.
Do you offer free AC tune-ups?
Tune-ups are not free. Value AC Tune-Up is our discounted maintenance visit starting around $89 (part of our Therapy Plans). A full diagnostic service call is the $279 minimum.
