Why bathroom fans matter in a Tampa Bay home
Steam from a shower has to go somewhere. In our climate it should go outside.
Code says outsideThe Florida residential code requires exhaust fans to vent to the outdoors, not into the attic.
Mold on the ceilingMoist air that stays in the bathroom, or gets dumped into the attic, is how mold starts on ceilings and drywall.
Humidity loadEvery shower adds moisture your AC has to remove. A working fan takes it out at the source.
Short, straight ductsA long, sagging duct moves much less air than the fan is rated for. We keep the run as short and straight as the attic allows.
Fan not pulling the steam out?
Call or text, day or night. We will check the fan and the duct for FREE and quote the fix in writing.

How much does it cost to install a bathroom exhaust fan in Tampa?
A new bathroom exhaust fan installed is $999. That includes a 50 to 110 CFM fan, the duct and the outside vent. If you already have a fan and it only needs a duct to the outside, that is $799 for up to 16 feet. The estimate is FREE.
Can a bathroom fan vent into the attic?
No. The Florida residential code requires exhaust fans to vent to the outdoors. A fan that blows into the attic puts warm, wet air where it can cause mold and damage. We can run a new duct to a soffit, gable or roof vent.
What size bathroom fan do I need?
We install fans from 50 to 110 CFM and match the fan to the size of the bathroom. A bigger bathroom, or a fan with a long duct run, needs more airflow.
Is the wiring included?
The $999 covers the fan, the duct and the vent. If the bathroom needs new wiring for the fan, that is quoted separately before any work starts.
Where does the duct go out?
We always try the soffit or the gable wall first. If the roof is the only way out, we tell you before we start: we are not roofers, roof work is not covered by our warranty, and we recommend having a licensed roofer check it afterward.
My fan is loud and barely moves air. Repair or replace?
Most of the time the answer is a new fan, and often a better duct, because a crushed or very long duct makes even a good fan weak. We check both for FREE and quote the fix in writing.
