Sewer Camera Inspection in Tampa Bay
Home Therapist Cooling, Heating, and Plumbing runs a camera through sewer and drain lines across Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties to show exactly what is inside the pipe. A sewer camera inspection is $399, or $499 with a locator so we can mark where the line runs. You get the video and a written report, which is what home buyers and realtors ask for before closing.
A camera shows the cause of the problem instead of guessing at it.
Buying or selling a home
Home inspections usually do not look inside the sewer line. A camera shows cracks, roots, sags and old repairs before you close, and you get the video and a written report to share.
Clogs that keep coming back
Slow drains and repeat backups have a cause: roots, a sag that holds water, scale in old cast iron or a broken section. The camera shows which one.
Before a repair
When a line needs work, the camera and the locator tell us where the problem is and how much pipe is involved, so the quote is accurate.
Cleanouts are how the camera gets in
We run the camera through a cleanout, the capped pipe that gives access to your sewer line. Real photos from a Home Therapist job.

What we find in Tampa Bay sewer lines
The age of the house tells you a lot about what is under it.
Cast iron in older homesHomes built before plastic drain pipe became common often have cast iron under the slab. Over decades it scales up inside, rusts and can crack.
RootsTree roots find small gaps at joints and grow into the line, especially in older neighborhoods with big oaks.
Sags and offsetsShifting soil can leave a low spot that holds water and waste, or a joint that no longer lines up.
Old repairsA camera shows sections that were patched before, which helps a buyer understand what they are getting.
Our plumbing work is done under Alejandro Morales’s Florida Certified Plumbing Contractor license, CFC1431159. Every tech is background-checked and drug-tested, factory-trained, and trains with us every week. Meet the whole team.
How much does a sewer camera inspection cost in Tampa?
A sewer camera inspection is $399. With a locator, so we can also mark where the line runs, it is $499. You get the video and a written report.
Should I get a sewer camera inspection before buying a house?
It is a good idea, especially on an older home. A standard home inspection usually does not look inside the sewer line, and a repair under a slab or a yard can be expensive. The camera shows the condition of the line before you close.
Do I get a copy of the video?
Yes. You get the video and a written report, so you can share them with your realtor, the seller or your insurance company.
Can a realtor book the inspection?
Yes. Realtors book inspections for buyers and sellers. Tell us who should get the video and the report.
What does the locator add?
The locator lets us find the camera head from above ground, so we can mark where the line runs and where a problem is. That matters when a repair is needed.
What if the camera finds a problem?
We explain what we found and quote the repair in writing, for example hydro jetting, a section repair or a line replacement. You decide what to do.
Can a camera find something that went down the drain?
Often, yes. Camera inspections have found jewelry and other items flushed or dropped down a drain.
