Three ways we fix a slab leak
The right fix depends on where the leak is, what is on the floor above it, and the shape the rest of the pipe is in.
Spot repair through the slab
We open the floor at the leak, cut out the bad section of pipe and repair it. It makes sense for one leak in pipe that is otherwise in good shape.
Reroute the line
We leave the leaking line under the slab and run a new one through the attic or the walls. No digging through the floor, and a common choice for hot water lines.
Repipe the house
When the pipes have leaked in more than one place, or the house still has old copper, galvanized or polybutylene, replacing the supply lines ends the repeat leaks.

What a slab leak repair costs
There is no honest flat price for a slab leak. These are the things that set the price, and you get yours in writing after the FREE leak detection.

We cut and open only what we need to reach the pipe. Patching the concrete and replacing the flooring, drywall or tile afterward is not part of our work, and we tell you before we start what will need it. The permit fee, when the job needs a permit, is billed separately.

Slab leaks in Tampa Bay homes
Most Tampa Bay houses are built on a concrete slab, so the water lines run under the floor.
- Signs of a slab leakA water bill that jumps for no reason, the sound of running water when nothing is on, a warm spot on the floor, damp flooring or baseboards, or a meter that keeps moving with every faucet off.
- Hot water linesA leak on the hot water line under the slab also keeps your water heater running, so the power or gas bill can go up too.
- Old pipeHomes from the late 1970s to the mid 1990s may still have polybutylene, and older homes may have galvanized pipe. More than one leak in old pipe usually means a whole-home repipe is the better fix.

How much does slab leak repair cost in Tampa?
It depends on where the leak is, what flooring is above it, whether a spot repair or a reroute is the better fix, and how many leaks there are. We find the leak for FREE and give you the price in writing before any work starts.
Is it better to repair a slab leak or reroute the line?
One leak in pipe that is otherwise in good shape is usually a spot repair. A leak under tile or in the middle of a room, a hot water line, or a second leak often makes a reroute through the attic or walls the better choice. We explain both options in writing.
How do you find a slab leak?
We check the water meter with everything off, then pinpoint the leak under the floor. Leak detection is FREE.
Do you do trenchless pipe lining for slab leaks?
No. We do not do trenchless pipe lining or pipe coatings of any kind. We repair the pipe, reroute it or repipe the house.
Will you fix the floor after the repair?
