is it safe to use an AC that's 20 years old it is safe to use it it's just not good to do to keep it using it that old not only for the peace of mind not only for for the extra cost but I mean just just the efficiency alone is going to be a killer I mean your energy build is going to feel it for sure it's not about being safe or not it's any unit no matter the age as long as it's running it's going to be safe to to to be used it's just about you know how much extra you paying just for keeping that uh POS if you know what I mean when should someone replace their AC versus repairing it you should replace the AC unit anytime that is older than 10 years old and has no warranty if you have a big repair a big repair to do on one of those units you're going to pay a big premium so no worth repairing it just go ahead and replace it if it's less than 10 years and you have the warranty most of the time it's worth repairing it but if it's older you have no warranty just go ahead and replace
