could you go into the increased energy cost cuz I I didn't even know that was a thing so you can pay more for an outdated AC unit definitely you can definitely pay more with an outdated AC unit simply because of the way they were built uh the parts that were used were not as energy efficient as they are these days so a reg an all AC unit might take let's say three extra hours a day to cool the same house as if you had a brand new unit so that that extra time of running uh extra running time is what increases your energy bill um we normally see I want at least in my area we normally see a good decrease when you upgrade a unit older than 10 years even at my house when it it replaced my unit it was like 20% maybe 15% down and my unit was not that old so yes can make a big dent on your energy bill so it's almost more expensive to not get your AC unit replaced I didn't know that it is it is and that's that's something that we actually bring up to the clients when we're through the process of offering the new unit we actually run the numbers for them we show them how much they're paying now and then we say okay with this new unit even if you let's say you finance that new unit with us and your monthly payment might be 120 150 or whatever it is right to finance that new unit but if you get your bill down just 15% or 20% whatever you're saving is what you're paying for the new unit or more you're probably saving more just by getting that new unit and that's if you finance if you pay out of pocket you you basically n money I never even like thought of that it's almost like you're saving money for getting a new unit it is and there are issues behind it too like units being undersized uh sometimes you have a I don't know let's say a 2,000 ft home with a three and a half or four ton unit that is onized for our area that unit is going to run way longer than usual so sometimes it's not about the age of the unit it's about the size of the unit as well that if you increase the size then you know it's going to cool quickly or quicker and then you're also going to save money wow so aside from age of the unit how does someone know when their AC needs replaced what are some signs basic piece of equipment so signs that you have to get them replaced is something that you see right away because it stops cooling that's basically whenever AC is about to you need to replace it that is that is because it's sto cooling or because you're having to repair it more often than usual um in what I see mostly in my area is you know the units stop running like I said it stop scholing and then we go there is a big repair something like a gas leak that's a big one or a back compressor and and or then the other thing is that clients start complaining of the high en Energy bill because sometimes it's not that it stops cooling it's that it doesn't cool as much so it used to take 10 hours a day to cool your your home now it takes 20 so your you build double so I don't know you increases a lot right so it's not so much of the age at some points it's also like how many big repairs have you done recently or how many repairs have you done recently not necessarily big how much money have you put into it comes to a point that it just doesn't make sense just you're you're just throwing money to to a fireplace basically so just get it replac
