could you go into the increased energy cost I didn't even know that was a thing so you can pay more for an outdated AC unit you can definitely pay more with an outdated AC unit simply because of the way they were built the parts that were used were not as energy efficient as they are these days and all AC unit might take let's say three extra hours a day to pull the same house as if you had a brand new unit so that extra running time is what increases your energy build we normally see at least in my area we normally see a good decrease when you upgrade a unit older than 10 years even at my house replace my unit it was like 20% maybe 15% down and my unit was not that old so yes you can make a big dent on your energy bill
