do you have to replace the whole AC unit or can you just replace the outside unit you don't necessarily have to replace the entire AC unit sometimes it depends of the type of gas that the unit uses uh if you can get let's say an outside unit that's what we call the condenser unit if you need to replace that condenser unit you have to be sure that that new condenser uses the same type of gas that the old air handler was built for that's the main thing right um it's not not a per it's never going to be a perfect match either um is it going to kill your unit is it going to not work most of the time no you can make it work you can have different brands of units mismatch um but as long as the gas the type of gas is the same that's what matters right besides that uh yeah you can you can get a replace you can get mismatch units if that's the question
