So, if you have a 3-tonon AC unit, that refers to a 36,000 BTU AC unit. And the tonage of the unit is what tells you how much of an area that unit can cool properly. There's different ways that you can determine how many tons in a specific area needs. We have a simple rural tone down here in Florida. Every 4 to 500 ft² per ton. So, if you have, let's say, a 1,500 square ft house, let's say it's on the newer side, you want to use the 500 ft² number. So, you will need a three-tonon unit for that. 1,500 ft² total divided by 500 that gives you three ton units. [Music]
