Most homes are single-story concrete block construction in the 1,000 to 1,500 square foot range. The proximity to the Gulf coast brings salt air corrosion and elevated humidity, and the older housing stock means many AC systems have been through multiple replacements. The residential streets off Beacon Square Drive and near Beacon Square Elementary have some of the most consistent construction in the area, with rows of similar ranch homes sharing comparable AC challenges. The homes closer to US-19 are more exposed to the heat from the commercial corridor. Along the edges of Beacon Square that border Holiday, the construction is similar but some blocks have seen more recent renovations and system upgrades than others.

We specialize in providing top-of-the-line cooling solutions for your home or business. From Air Conditioning installation and maintenance to repair and replacement, we offer a comprehensive range of services to ensure your air conditioning system runs smoothly all year round.

We specialize in providing reliable, energy-efficient heating solutions for Tampa Bay homes. Whether you’re dealing with an emergency breakdown or planning a full system upgrade, Home Therapist is here with expert installation, repair, and maintenance services.

We help Tampa Bay homeowners improve indoor air quality, lower energy bills, and extend HVAC system life with professional ductwork and air treatment services. From duct sealing to air purification, we do it all.

Explore our full range of plumbing services by category. From leak detection and repiping to fixture installations and water heater solutions , we’ve got Tampa Bay’s HVAC needs covered.
Your AC Repair specialist arrives on time, ready for a job done right.
Relax and enjoy the comfort of your home!
Beacon Square homeowners receive their electricity from Duke Energy, and the community’s older, consistent construction means our technicians know what to expect on most service calls here. The single-story concrete block homes with flat or low-slope roofs are standard in Beacon Square, and the attic spaces get extremely hot during the summer, which degrades ductwork and insulation over time. If your home has original ductwork from the 1970s, it is likely in poor condition and leaking cooled air into the attic rather than delivering it to your living spaces.

The $5,000 rule: If your AC system is more than 10 years old and the repair costs more than $5,000, replacing it is almost always the better financial decision. A new system comes with a manufacturer warranty (up to 12 years on our Elite tier), uses less energy, and eliminates the risk of another expensive failure next summer.
Most AC repairs in Beacon Square fall between $279 and $649. Our technicians will always give you an honest recommendation. If a $279 capacitor replacement gets your system running for another 5 years, that is what we will tell you.
Beacon Square is a 1970s coastal Pasco grid (ZIP 34691) where most homes are running second or third-generation AC equipment in salt-soaked humidity. When the unit stops, indoor temps cross 88 degrees fast. We dispatch from Tampa to Beacon Square Estates, Bayou Marina, and Anclote Village within 55 minutes off-peak via Veterans Expressway and SR-54, with capacitors, contactors, fan motors, and R-410A on the truck. Beacon Square homes built in the 1970s and 1980s usually have a third-generation condenser already installed (the original lasted 15 years, the swap-out lasted 10 to 12, the current unit is on year 7 to 9). Salt-air capacitor terminal pitting, contactor face arcing, and condenser fan motor bearing failure are the three top calls we get. We carry 35/5, 40/5, 45/5, 50/5, 55/5, 60/5 mfd capacitors and 24V plus 240V contactors so 80 percent of Beacon Square repairs finish in one visit.
Capacitor replacement runs $129 to $279 with FREE diagnosis.
Beacon Square sits between Anclote River and the Gulf, so summer thunderstorms and tropical systems push storm surge into capacitor circuits and control boards through electrical disconnects. A $185 to $245 surge protector at the AC disconnect catches the lightning-induced voltage spikes that ruin control boards and ECM modules. After every major storm we run an emergency rotation through 34691 starting with addresses on file for past surge damage.
Whole-unit surge protector install: $185 to $245.
Brackish humidity off the Anclote and Gulf cakes Beacon Square condenser fins within a single season, drives head pressure up, capacitor stress up, and Duke Energy bills up by 15 to 25 percent. We rinse coils with low-pressure fresh water and foaming coil cleaner during every FREE diagnosis, even if we end up not doing the repair. That single rinse often resolves the no-cooling complaint without parts.
Free coil rinse with every Beacon Square diagnosis.

Effective January 1, 2026, every new residential AC sold in the United States ships with R-454B refrigerant. R-410A equipment is still legal to service and we keep R-410A stocked, but production has wound down and per-pound pricing has risen sharply. For a Beacon Square repair on an R-410A system: capacitor, contactor, fan motor, and electrical repairs are unaffected. A refrigerant recharge or leak repair on a 10 plus year old R-410A system gets more expensive each year. We will tell you when repair is still smart and when it tips toward replace.

Licensed CAC1819196 (HVAC) | CFC1431159 (Plumbing) | Serving Beacon Square since 2017
AC repair in Beacon Square starts at $279 for repair work. FREE diagnosis on every call. The smaller systems and accessible layouts in Beacon Square keep most repairs affordable, typically in the $279 to $600 range. Capacitor replacements and drain line cleanings are the most common service calls we handle here. For homes on R-22 systems, we recommend getting a full replacement estimate so you can compare the long-term costs of repair versus a new modern system.
A: The $5,000 rule helps you decide between repairing and replacing your AC. Multiply your system’s age by the repair cost, and if the result exceeds $5,000, replacement usually makes more sense. In Beacon Square, where most homes were built in the 1980s to 2000s, many AC systems are 15-25 years old. A $400 repair on a 15-year-old unit hits $6,000, making a new system the smarter investment. Our Beacon Square technicians will run the numbers with you on the spot and give you an honest recommendation.
A: Start by checking your thermostat settings and making sure the filter is not clogged. Then check your breaker panel for a tripped circuit. In Beacon Square, lightning strikes are a common cause of blown capacitors and fried control boards in this area. If your AC still will not turn on or is blowing warm air, call us at (813) 343-2212 and we can usually get a tech to your Beacon Square home the same day. Do not keep running a broken AC because it can damage the compressor, turning a $300 fix into a $2,000 problem.
A: The most common reasons are low refrigerant, a dirty condenser coil, or a failing compressor. In Beacon Square, inland heat and dust means condenser coils get caked with dirt, pollen, and debris. Concrete block homes hold heat well into the evening, making your system work harder. A refrigerant recharge typically costs $279 to $500 depending on your system type. probably runs on R-22 refrigerant which is no longer manufactured and very expensive to recharge. Our Beacon Square techs will diagnose the actual issue before quoting anything.
A: We offer same-day AC repair in Beacon Square for most calls placed before noon. We service the Beacon Square, Moon Lake area, US-19 corridor area regularly, so our trucks are usually nearby in Pasco County. Our average response time is 2 to 4 hours, and for after-hours emergencies, we have techs available with priority scheduling. Call (813) 343-2212 and we will give you an honest arrival window.
A: Yes. Our technicians are trained to repair Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Rheem, Goodman, Daikin, York, Bryant, and every other major brand. In Beacon Square, we commonly see systems from the 1980s to 2000s era, and we keep parts like capacitors, contactors, and fan motors on our trucks so most repairs get done in one visit. For older or less common systems, we can source parts within 24 hours.
A: In Florida, you should get your AC serviced twice a year, once before summer and once before winter. Beacon Square homeowners powered by Duke Energy can see real savings on their electric bill with regular maintenance. With systems running 8 to 10 months a year in this climate, a tune-up catches worn capacitors or low refrigerant before they become expensive breakdowns. Our Therapy Maintenance Plan includes two visits per year, priority scheduling, and member discounts.
A: Usually not. Most AC systems in Florida last 10 to 15 years because of the heavy use. A 15-year-old unit is at end of life, uses more electricity, and probably runs on R-22 refrigerant which is no longer manufactured and very expensive to recharge. In Beacon Square, where concrete block homes hold heat, an inefficient system hits your Duke Energy bill especially hard. If the repair is under $300 and buys you time, that can make sense. But for anything bigger, a new high-efficiency system will save you $50 to $100 a month on electric and comes with a 10-year warranty.
A: A tripping breaker usually means your system is drawing too much power. Common causes are a failing compressor, a locked-up fan motor, or a short in the wiring. lightning strikes are a common cause of blown capacitors and fried control boards in this area. Do not keep resetting the breaker because that is a fire hazard. Our Beacon Square technicians carry HVAC license CAC1819196 and will trace the electrical issue safely. Repair cost for most breaker-trip causes runs $279 to $800.
A: Yes, we provide free estimates for AC repair in Beacon Square. We will diagnose the problem and give you an upfront, flat-rate price before doing any work. Whether you are in Beacon Square, Moon Lake area, US-19 corridor or anywhere else in Pasco County, there is no separate diagnostic charge if you go with the repair. Call us at (813) 343-2212 or book online.
A: Yes, we cover every Beacon Square neighborhood inside ZIP 34691, including Beacon Square Estates, Bayou Marina, Anclote Village, and the streets near Anclote Gulf Park, Beacon Square Plaza, and the Anclote River. Average response time from our Tampa shop is 55 minutes off-peak via Veterans Expressway north to SR-54 west, then US-19 south. We hold dedicated capacity for emergency AC calls 7 days a week May through October.
A: Same-day AC repair in Beacon Square is standard. We carry capacitors, contactors, fan motors, drain clearing tools, refrigerant, and common thermostats on every truck, so 80 percent of repair calls finish on the first visit. Compressor or evap coil replacements may require a 1 to 3 day parts order from our Tampa Bay supplier.
A: Pasco coastal salt air plus Beacon Square humidity pit the metal terminals on standard capacitors faster than inland Florida. We install premium-rated capacitors with corrosion-resistant terminals on Beacon Square repair calls (about $15 more in parts) which typically doubles service life to 6 to 8 years. We also install an optional whole-unit surge protector at the disconnect for $185 to $245 that catches the lightning-induced voltage spikes that destroy capacitors during summer storm season.
A: Yes. We repair every major residential AC brand including Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Rheem, Bryant, Amana, York, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, plus Goodman and Daikin. Our installs are Goodman or Daikin only (those are the brands we stand behind for new system installations) but for repair work we service everything. Most Beacon Square calls involve units 8 to 15 years old where part availability matters more than the brand badge.
A: The diagnosis is genuinely FREE in Beacon Square. No trip charge, no coastal surcharge, no service-call fee. The $279 minimum applies only to APPROVED repair labor after you authorize the work in writing. If you decide not to proceed with the repair, you owe nothing for the visit. We also include a free coil rinse during the diagnosis to rule out airflow restriction as a no-cooling cause.
